Gov. Sam Brownback rejected a bill Friday supported by an overwhelming majority of lawmakers that would have blocked the governor from taking future action to implode the Docking State Office Building.
The governor’s veto of Senate Bill 250 sets up a potential showdown with the Legislature, which will now have to decide whether to override the veto. If the bill retains its current support, lawmakers would have little trouble forcing the bill into law over Brownback’s objections.
