KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Kansas City man whose forced removal from a hospital in the 1980s led to a Kansas sheriff’s downfall is back in federal custody.
When Damone L. Cribbs, 49, was arrested this week in Buchanan County, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers found suspected marijuana and a .357-caliber revolver, according to federal court documents. Cribbs, whose criminal career stretches back to at least 1985, is not allowed to have a weapon because he is a convicted felon, the Kansas City Star reported.
