The new attorney appointed to defend Dana Lynn Chandler in her appeal of a 2012 conviction in Shawnee County District Court for a cold case double slaying will have until late September to decide what tack to take before the Kansas Supreme Court.
On July 18, Shawnee County District Judge Nancy Parrish appointed Adam D. Stolte, an Olathe attorney, to take over Chandler’s appeal after the Kansas Supreme Court granted an earlier Chandler appellate defender’s request to withdraw from the case.
