As a high school student, Raymond Austin Zachary Felton, 18, amassed a stellar list of awards for community service and leadership.
But Felton used those same skills to mastermind and lead three peers in a robbery of Academy Sports + Outdoors, said Shawnee Country District Judge Nancy Parrish said while sentencing him to prison Tuesday. During the robbery, Felton brandished a pistol at seven customers and employees in order to steal cash and three semiautomatic rifles.
