The seven justices of the Kansas Supreme Court asked a federal judge this week to dismiss a lawsuit against them by former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline, calling one of his arguments “puzzling” as the anti-abortion firebrand seeks reinstatement of his law license.
The court indefinitely suspended Kline’s license in a unanimous ruling Oct. 18, 2013, after finding “clear and convincing evidence” Kline had acted unprofessionally as he pursued criminal charges against abortion providers.
