The Kansas adjutant general shared with a Senate committee Thursday new partnerships with Garden City Community College and the University of Kansas to build new connections between the Kansas National Guard and the state's millennials.
Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli, who leads the Kansas Army and Air Force programs in the National Guard as well as the state’s emergency preparedness agency, said the community college agreed to lease existing space on its campus to the Kansas Guard for weekend activities likely to begin in August.
