Two people were taken into custody after a police chase ended early Monday in Wabaunsee County, about 15 miles west of Topeka.
Authorities said the Kansas Highway Patrol was involved in the chase, which went eastbound on Interstate 70 and came to a halt about 8:25 a.m. near the Maple Hill exit.
Initial reports indicated troopers were able to track down and capture the two individuals after they got out of their car and fled on foot about 200 yards south of the interstate.
