KANSAS CITY — A jury has convicted two Kansas men of attempted murder and other charges for allegedly shooting a deputy sheriff several times while robbing a convenience store last March.
In addition to convicting 25-year-old Dyron King and 36-year-old Cecil Meggerson, both of Kansas City, Kansas, of attempted capital murder in the attack on Deputy Scott Wood, the Wyandotte County jury also convicted them on multiple counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and illegally possessing firearms.
