Members of Gov. Sam Brownback's administration met with lawmakers Tuesday night, senators said, leading to the decision to delay a new Capitol complex power plant to give the Legislature time to review the controversial $20 million deal behind the new facility.
Senate President Susan Wagle, R-Wichita, said members of the governor's staff met with lawmakers. Sen Jim Denning, R-Overland Park, said Brownback himself was in attendance, though that was disputed by Brownback spokeswoman Eileen Hawley.
