Gov. Sam Brownback complied with political tradition bestowed upon the state’s chief executive officer by declaring in the annual State of the State speech that Kansas was on solid footing.
“It is often said that Kansas feeds the world,” he said. “We will continue to provide for our fellow Americans and support the global economy by providing food — wheat, beef and now dairy. By providing oil and gas, ethanol and renewable.”
