Lawmakers on Tuesday decided a draft report on K-12 education needs a rewrite after accusations the document closely resembled work done by a conservative think tank.
During a meeting of the K-12 Student Success Committee, Rep. Ron Ryckman, Jr., R-Olathe, led the charge to send the report to legislative researchers for changes. Ryckman said he wanted the report tied back to the testimony the committee heard over the past few months.
