The Kansas Highway Patrol didn’t work any fatal crashes over the Christmas weekend holiday, officials said in a news release Wednesday.
In 2014, there was one DUI-related fatality and one fatality that wasn’t related to alcohol consumption.
During the holiday weekend, which ran from 6 p.m. Dec 24 through 11:59 p.m. Dec. 27, highway patrol troopers assisted 731 motorists. They also issued:
■ 550 speed citations.
■ 479 speed warnings.
