A man who was fatally shot on Oct. 10 in an East Topeka neighborhood had a blood-alcohol level of nearly twice the amount that Kansas law defines as drunk driving for a motorist, the Shawnee County coroner testified Wednesday.
The testimony was made during the preliminary hearing for Daris Laron Holliday, 26, of Topeka, who is charged with intentional second-degree murder in the death of Keith Leon Reed, according to Shawnee County District Court records.
The incident occurred in the 1100 block of S.E. Lime.
