A massive year-end spending bill attracted the support of just two members of Kansas’ congressional delegation Friday.
The $1.1 trillion appropriations package, known as the omnibus bill in Washington parlance, cruised through the House by a 316-113 vote. It will fund the government through September 2016.
U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder of eastern Kansas voted in favor of the legislation. Reps. Tim Huelskamp, Lynn Jenkins and Mike Pompeo voted against it. All four representatives are Republicans.
