Kansas official: Rape suspects who attacked Johnson County sheriff's deputy likely attacked others

OLATHE — Authorities believe two Kansas City-area men charged with kidnapping and raping a sheriff’s deputy have attacked others, a prosecutor said Wednesday.

Steve Howe, the district attorney in Johnson County, Kansas, said he hopes more victims will come forward now that William Luth, 24, of Blue Springs, Mo., and Brady Newman-Caddell, 21, of Independence, Mo., are in custody. The suspects are being held on $1 million bond on charges of rape, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sodomy.
