Haskell Indian Nations University faces a federal lawsuit accusing top administrators of retaliating against an employee who was trying to help a student who reported being raped by two football players.
Angelina Adams, a counselor of more than 10 years, opposed officials who decided to expel the student this spring, the lawsuit alleges. In response to her advocacy, the university removed Adams from her counseling position and took other actions against her that cut into her income.
