Although “Night of the Creeps” flopped when it opened in 1986 at theaters, Jason Lively, one of its stars, said he discovered unexpectedly the horror comedy found a new audience.
Lively, whose best known role was as Rusty Griswold, the son in “National Lampoon’s European Vacation,” said, “I was really, really, really surprised, to say the least, when someone came up to me randomly and didn’t call me Rusty but was like ‘Chris Romero! Night of the Creeps!’ I was like, ‘What? How did you see that?’
