Gov. Sam Brownback said no plan had been developed for the Docking State Office Building following action by the Legislature blocking demolition of the structure and construction of a new energy center to serve the Capitol complex.
The administration has transferred hundreds of state employees out of Docking to leased office space in several Topeka locations based on a strategy calling for removal of Docking and development of a $20 million heating and cooling facility to replace units operating in the basement of Docking.
