Lisa Greenwood says “Self Love,” the title of her original play that the Ad Astra Theatre Ensemble is staging as its 2016 Homegrown Play Project, is a double entendre.
“It kind of refers to the business that Faye (the central character) works for,” said Greenwood before a rehearsal at the Governor’s Row House, 811 S.W. Buchanan, where the play runs through Sunday. “She works for a woman who runs a sex aid business and is having some difficulty with the city council.”
