KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Kansas City, Kan., mayor has apologized to the family of a police captain who was fatally shot this summer while investigating a drive-by shooting.
The Kansas City Star (http://bit.ly/2cj0sH3 ) reports that Mayor Mark Holland said during a commission meeting Thursday that he “would never intentionally introduce controversial comments during a time of grief” and that he was “deeply sorry” for that.
