The acting U.S. attorney for Kansas said Wednesday a Holton man was indicted on a charge of embezzling an undisclosed amount of money from the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas.
Heath Hopkins, 45, faces one count of theft from a Native American organization for allegedly writing unauthorized checks to himself on the tribe's account while employed as an accounting technician for the Kickapoo housing authority.
