KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Six people were injured, one critically, after a gunman fired shots at a group of people in Kansas City’s Westport entertainment district, police said.
Two people were arrested after the shooting about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
When officers responded to the shots, two people got into a car and fled, prompting one officer to fire at the vehicle. When the car crashed nearby, the two people were arrested, police spokeswoman Capt. Stacey Graves said. No one was injured by police gunfire.
