SALINA — One of five men involved in the shooting death of a 17-year-old Salina girl was sentenced to more than four years in prison for his part in the crime.
Twenty-year-old Daniel Sims was sentenced Friday for involuntary manslaughter and conspiracy to commit aggravated battery in the May 2015 death of Allie Saum.
Prosecutors say the men were seeking revenge after a confrontation and shot at a truck Saum was riding in because they mistakenly believed the truck’s driver was involved in the confrontation.
