Statements made by Country Club Motel defendant Quentin Kirk Lawton to federal deputy marshals should be suppressed because he wasn’t Mirandized before he was questioned and federal deputies lacked probable cause to arrest him, Lawton's defense attorney contends.
A motion to suppress statements made by Lawton to federal deputies and any evidence they recovered from his cell phone was made in a motion filed on Monday in U.S. District Court. District Judge Daniel Crabtree will decide the motion.
