Of three men charged in the July shooting death of Xavier Patrick McCollough, one will face a preliminary hearing in about one week and two will appear in a preliminary hearing in three months.
The three defendants are Shane Edward Sibert, 24, of Topeka; Use David Laeli Jr., 35, of Topeka; and Joseph G. Cooney, 20, of Rock Port, Texas. The three are charged with premeditated first-degree murder in the death of McCollough on July 23.
