A candlelight vigil to honor victims of gun violence is planned Saturday at Ripley Park.
The event is organized and promoted by Black Lives Matter Topeka and is intended to be for grieving, not protesting, said organizer Yasmair Rodriguez.
“This is for the community to come out and grieve or say what every they need to about these issues,” she said.
