A cement truck driver was killed late Tuesday afternoon when he lost control of his vehicle, which went over a bridge rail and crashed in western Kansas, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 4:20 p.m. on US-183 highway, about 10 miles south of Hays.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1999 Sterling cement truck was traveling south on US-183 when it went left of center and struck a bridge rail. The truck then went over the edge of the bridge and struck an embankment.
