The nonpartisan political arm of the American Cancer Society released a report Thursday praising Kansas for banning minors from using indoor tanning booths while castigating the state government for modest spending on smoking prevention programs.
Gov. Sam Brownback signed into law a bill advocated by the Cancer Action Network that bans anyone under the age of 18 from engaging in tanning at commercial facilities after July 1.
