ELMONT — There was a time when no self-respecting country music performer would end a show without first belting out a patriotic tune then singing a few gospel songs.
The focus will be on the latter this weekend when the Elmont Opry presents its annual gospel show at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of Elmont United Methodist Church, 6635 N.W. Church Lane, which is one mile east of US-75 highway on N.W. 66th Road.
