Fredonia Unified School District 484 on Tuesday became the seventh member of Kansas’ Coalition of Innovative Districts.
“We’re excited about working with this coalition,” said Brian Smith, superintendent of the 700-student southeast Kansas district.
The Kansas State Board of Education voted to admit USD 484 to the program by an 8-1 vote. Western Kansas board member Sally Cauble was the sole opposing vote.
