When sentenced in September, a 23-year-old man will face prison terms totaling nearly 30 years, all tied to the killing of a teenager during a drug robbery in early 2015.
Defendant Kelsey Lee Fairchild was trying to steal $500 worth of marijuana during a drug buy when he shot Colton Christenson, one of two sellers and the driver of the car in which the botched sale was made, court records said.
Fairchild initially was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Christenson on Jan. 5, 2015.
