Topeka beat Lawrence Friday to win a friendly, well-publicized competition in the popular mobile game, Pokemon Go.
Assistant city attorney Jason McIlrath, playing on behalf of Topeka’s city government, won the “PiKAWchu Showdown” by reaching the game’s seventh level during a one-hour period, said event organizer Nathan Pettengill.
Kim Anspach, representing the city of Lawrence, topped out at the sixth level, he indicated.
