The 17-year-old son of a murderer was moved from juvenile to adult court on Thursday to face a murder charge himself.
The defendant, Christopher Shawn Pattillo, was 16 when Brian W. Miller was fatally shot April 8. Pattillo, who turned 17 just 20 days after the killing, was charged in juvenile court with first-degree murder.
On Thursday, Shawnee County District Judge Joseph Johnson ruled Pattillo should be prosecuted as an adult, not a juvenile, in district court.
