A Topeka defendant who was 16 years old when a 20-year-old man was shot to death in April should be treated as an adult, not a juvenile, in Shawnee County District Court, a county prosecutor said in a court document.
The defendant, Christopher Shawn Pattillo, turned 17 just 20 days after victim Brian W. Miller was fatally wounded.
