The trial of a man charged with lying to a federal marshal searching for fugitive Orlando J. Collins is scheduled to start in October, according to U.S. District Court records.
During the April incident, Collins shot three law enforcement officers during a gunfight at a motel.
The trial of Quentin Kirk Lawton, 36, who is charged with one count of making a false statement to a federal officer, is to start Oct. 11. Lawton, held in federal custody, was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 4.
