A legislative committee heard testimony Wednesday on plans to improve the Docking State Office Building by lowering it to four stories, three stories or a single story.
Sarah Shipman, secretary of the Kansas Department of Administration, told the Joint Committee on State Building Construction that her agency has been in talks with HTK Architects “to begin looking at the various options” previously mentioned by committee members.
Those options include a full renovation of Docking or lopping off several of its one-dozen floors.
