A man sentenced in 2013 for his role in the homicide two years earlier of Natalie Gibson was bound over Thursday for trial on four felonies linked to two alleged beatings this past summer of his then girlfriend.
Duane Tieree Richey, 22, of Topeka, is charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and making a criminal threat.
In binding over Richey for trial, Shawnee County District Judge Mark Braun found the state had probable cause to try him.
