Two deputy U.S. marshals won’t face criminal charges for their actions during a shootout at the Country Club Motel on April 23, Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor said Friday.
The federal deputy marshals and an FBI agent were attempting to serve an arrest warrant to fugitive Orlando J. Collins late on April 23 at the motel complex, 3732 S.W. Topeka Blvd., when Collins shot the three law enforcement officers.
