Kansas will withdraw from the federal refugee relocation program, Gov. Sam Brownback said Tuesday as he moved to sever any cooperation with the federal government to bring refugees to the state.
The move, however, likely will have little effect on the actual flow of refugees into the state, as the federal government has said it will continue to place refugees in Kansas.
