There is a moderate chance of severe weather just west of Topeka on Tuesday night, including large hail, damaging winds and possible tornadoes.
The National Weather Service announced Monday that most of Kansas will be at risk for severe thunderstorms beginning Tuesday afternoon.
The strong band of storms, which could include tornadoes, is expected to be centered near Salina. Areas just west and east of the central Kansas City could also be hit hard, according to the NWS.
