Kansas tax revenue in November beats estimates by about $8 million

Last month, officials slashed Kansas revenue projections for the current fiscal year by $159 million, prompting budget cuts and fund transfers to keep the state in the black.

On Tuesday, officials said the state took in about $8 million more in tax revenue than expected in November under the new lower projection. November was the first time in eight months Kansas collected more revenue than expected.
