The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has named Lily Stivers, of Hays, the winner of the 2016 Kansas National Missing Children’s Day Poster Contest, the agency announced Wednesday.
Each year, the Missing and Exploited Children’s Program, in conjunction with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, holds a poster contest for fifth-graders, said KBI spokesman Mark Malick. The contest boosts awareness of children who are missing and provides an opportunity to educate the most vulnerable age group on how to stay safe.
