KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man was sentenced to 23 years in prison after pleading guilty in the child abuse death of a 2-year-old boy.
Jackson County prosecutors said 24-year-old Mirsad Hamidovic pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder and abuse of neglect of a child for the death of Lorenzo Estrada. He had been scheduled to go to trial next week.
