The Kansas Senate and House of Representatives joined with Gov. Sam Brownback and baseball fans Monday to celebrate the 2015 World Series triumph by the Kansas City Royals.
Formal festivities sparked by that October surprise were shared by Tecumseh resident Chris Wietharn and his two sons, Eli and Abe. The trio were visiting the Capitol to climb to the dome, and were clad in Royals shirts or jerseys.
Abe, 10, was a bit shy about being interviewed, but offered a royally concise assessment of the World Series finale.
