KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Amidst another rally gone awry in the Midwest, Donald Trump on Saturday night blamed Bernie Sanders’ supporters for recent violence and disruptions, prompting him to go after the Vermont senator.
Trump was just a few minutes into his speech at a theater in downtown Kansas City’s Power & Light District when the protests began.
At the rally, Trump referred to “Bernie our communist friend” and called him a “lousy” senator.
