The Topeka forecast calls for a high near 70 Friday afternoon with breezy southwest winds. Skies will be mostly sunny. Friday night the low will be near 36 degrees, the National Weather Service at Philip Billard Municipal Airport reports.
It was 28 degrees and partly cloudy at 5:40 a.m.
Much of Central and Eastern Kansas, including the Topeka area, will be under a Red Flag Warning from noon until 6 p.m.
