Federal prosecutors on Friday announced charges against a woman they said provided an assault rifle and handgun to the man who shot 14 people — three fatally — at a Hesston manufacturing plant Thursday.

Hopkins, 28, of Newton, was charged in federal court with one count of knowingly transferring a firearm to a convicted felon.
