The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a DUI saturation patrol this weekend, Sheriff Herman Jones said Tuesday.
The DUI patrol will occur between the hours of 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Five officers will be involved in the activity that is funded by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation, Jones said, adding the focus of the activity is to decrease the number of intoxicated drivers on the road.
Jones didn’t say where the patrol will be held.
