A 1990 Highland Park High School graduate has been appointed to a federal judgeship in Louisiana.
Erin Wilder-Doomes was sworn in Jan. 4 as a magistrate judge in the U.S. District Court Middle District of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.
Wilder-Doomes, 44, becomes the first black woman to be named to the bench in the U.S. District Court in Baton Rouge.
